Tres bon cafe et aussi les produits de patisserie sont merveilleux.
My partner, myself and a friend visiting from BC went in there to grab coffees to go and perhaps a little chocolate. My partner was asked by the owner what he wanted to order. My partner said an americano and then he was told to go order in the restaurant caf. Before we ordered my partner wanted to use the washroom. He waited for 5 minutes but the person in the washroom would not come out. He proceeded to the restaurant cafe and was told they were so busy it would take long. So he came back and said to me let's go somewhere else. The owner then started yelling at us about using his washroom without buying anything to which I replied we did not even use your washroom so calm down. We walked out and he insulted me by calling me an derogatory name and was yelling at us in the street. He came nose to nose with my partner and was yelling in his face and even pushed him in front of all accusingus of using his washroom. We are good people, we don't look for trouble we spend money and we treat people with consideration but the owner of this place has really bad manners and is very inconsiderate. He was unprofessional, greedy, verbally and physically abusive. I have worked in the service industry for many years, I have never been treated so badly by anyone before and for absolutely no reason. We did not use his bathroom and did not buy anything either because of his very very poor service. I grew up in the area, I will never recommend this place. Bad bad stay away.
Hotel was right on lake Massawipi. Staff was incredibly friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. The free breakfast (with overnight stay) was awesome and came with coffee and a little fruit smoothie. The entire town of North Hatley was fun to visit and walk around
Rude service and gross pizza. I ate lunch outside and a wasp stung me. The waiter shrugged when I explained to him what had happened, and didn't offer to move us inside or anything right after I got stung. I thought the bacon pizza would be just tomato sauce, cheese and bacon on the crust, but it had these gross green onion pieces throughout it that weren't described as on there in the menu. I guess the ingredients were decent quality, but I had no idea that it would have things like big onion chunks I didn't like on it.Then, when we went inside and ordered dessert, the waitress asked me "What?" as if she hadn't heard me when I said clearly in English what I wanted, and didn't give me the part of the pastry that I pointed to...parts of the menus were not fully translated to English, food kind of pricy, overall would NOT recommend. There are other places in the region where it is just as beautiful outside but the people working there are nicer and the food is better!
This place is awesome. Central location in North Hatley so you can get anywhere you want. Friendly service, great breakfast, and modern clean rooms. The chocolate ganache served with breakfast was devine. Would stay again!
